Yoga with Ali

Ali Cohen is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) through Yoga Alliance and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training through Evolve Yoga Studio in South Knox! Ali completed extra training in Prenatal Yoga from YogaRenew and is working toward attaining her 85-hour Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher certification (RPYT) through Yoga Alliance.

As a DONA International certified birth doula and the owner of Knoxville Hospital Doula, Ali supports families who want or need to have a hospital birth in Knoxville. Her work with clients centers around the importance of mindfulness, movement and education on physiological birth, so you can feel empowered and supported through your unique pregnancy journey. Whether you are looking to have a medicated or unmedicated birth, the importance of movement and mindfulness cannot be understated as coping techniques and ways to prepare your mind and body for whatever your labor and birth may bring. Ali loves to incorporate Prenatal Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation and Yin into her clients’ birth prep and support, and includes 10 Prenatal Yoga classes at no additional cost in Knoxville Hospital Doula’s Birth Support Package for birth doula clients.

In addition to teaching Power Yoga classes at Evolve, Ali offers group and individual yoga sessions as an a la carte service.

Join Knoxville Hospital Doula and other pregnant mamas as we build community through a weekly Prenatal Yoga class by the river in Sequoyah Hills! This 1-hour Baptiste-inspired class is focused on integrating breath work and movement. Suitable for all trimesters and levels of experience, each session incorporates a grounding practice to connect with your breath and baby, and flows through safe and supportive postures to help you feel centered, nurtured and relaxed.
